Audi S3

Audi's stylishly subtle S3, only small design cues distinguish it from less savage siblings, and instead it concentrates on what it sports beneath its metal skin - notably an impressive new 2.0-litre turbocharged engine. Boasting a top power output of 295hp from its smooth-revving engine, the S3 is a step above the offering from Vauxhall and Ford, challenging Mercedes A45 AMG and BMW's M135i. Unlike the BMW, however, the S3 comes equipped with Quattro four-wheel drive, which earns it a big thumbs-up from us.
