Katrina Kaif is a British Indian model-turned-actress popular in Bollywood. She has also been part of Telugu and Malayalam films. The actress, who at the start of her career was highly criticized for her lack lustre acting talent and her inability to speak in Hindi, is today one of the highest paid leading ladies of tinsel town. She will soon be seen in upcoming film  Thugs of Hindostan.

Katrina was born as Katrina Turquotte. She changed her surname to Kaif (her father's surname) when she moved to India because Kaif sounded Indian as compared to Turquotte. Katrina is a British citizen and her name on her passport is Katrina Turquotte. Katrina was born in Hong Kong.

Katrina grew up in Hawaii and matured in 18 countries. Katrina Kaif is among the eight children from a mother who is a Caucasian of British Nationality.

Katrina has seven siblings- three older sisters (Stephanie, Christine and Natasha), three younger sisters (Melissa, Sonia and Isabel) and an older brother.
