7 Reasons why Maha Shivaratri is important festival!

To make them understand the futility of their fight, Shiva took the form of a huge fire pillar in the form of Linga with fire. He asked Brahma and Vishnu to go and find the tip of the fire pillar to decide who is supreme. Brahma, in the form of a swan, went upwards. Vishnu, as Varaha, moved towards the earth. But, they failed to find the end even after moving long distances.
