Infinix introduced the Infinix Note 8 and Note 8i smartphones in Kenya. Both phones come with tall aspect ratio displays, a gaming-focused chipset, up to 64-megapixel quad cameras, and a huge battery with fast charging support. The Infinix Note 8 has a massive 6.95-inch IPS LCD screen with a punch-hole design. The 20.5:9 aspect ratio display delivers 720 x 1640 pixels resolution and 480nits of peak brightness. The Helio G80 chipset by MediaTek powers the Note 8 along with 6 GB of RAM. For storage, the phone offers 128 GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot.

The phone comes preinstalled with Android 10 OS and the latest edition of xOS 7.1. The pill-shaped cutout on the phone's display has a 16-megapixel main selfie camera and a depth sensor. The backside of the device has a quad-LED flash assisted quad-camera system that includes a 64-megapixel main camera with autofocus support, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and an AI lens.
