Recipe for Homemade Chilly Cheese Sandwich

A chilly cheese sandwich is a perfect fusion of creamy, cheesy richness with a spicy kick. It's quick to make, comforting to eat, and versatile enough for breakfast, lunch, or an evening snack. Whether you are a college student looking for an easy fix or someone wanting to whip up a delicious treat at home, this recipe is for you.
Ingredients:
●    4 slices of bread (white or brown)

●    1 cup grated mozzarella or processed cheese

●    1 finely chopped green chilli (adjust to taste)

●    2 tablespoons chopped capsicum (green bell pepper)

●    1 tablespoon chopped onions (optional)

●    1 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves

●    ½ teaspoon black pepper powder

●    1 tablespoon butter (for spreading)

●    ½ teaspoon chilli flakes (optional, for extra spice)

●    Salt to taste

Optional Ingredients:
●    A pinch of oregano or Italian herbs

●    Sliced tomato for added flavor

●    Cheese spread for an extra creamy layer

Method:
1.    Prepare the Filling:
In a mixing bowl, combine grated cheese, chopped green chilli, capsicum, coriander leaves, and onions. Sprinkle in black pepper, a pinch of salt, and chilli flakes. Mix everything well to create a spicy, cheesy mixture.

2.    Assemble the Sandwich:
Take the bread slices and apply butter evenly on one side of each slice. On the non-buttered side of two slices, spread the cheese-chilli mixture generously. You can also add a little cheese spread or sliced tomato at this stage for added richness.

3.    Seal the Sandwich:
Cover the mixture with the remaining slices of bread, making sure the buttered side is facing outward. This helps in getting a nice golden crust when grilled or toasted.

4.    Toast or Grill:
Heat a non-stick pan or sandwich toaster. Place the sandwich and cook until both sides are golden brown and crispy. If using a pan, press slightly using a spatula to ensure even browning. You can also use a sandwich maker for an effortless result.

5.    Serve Hot:
Once done, cut the sandwich diagonally. Serve hot with ketchup, mint chutney, or mayonnaise on the side.

Tips:
●    Use multigrain or sourdough bread for a healthier variation.

●    If you like it extra spicy, add some chopped jalapeños or red chilli paste.

●    Always grate the cheese freshly; it melts better than pre-packed shreds.

This homemade chilly cheese sandwich is not only easy to make but also satisfies your cravings for something spicy and cheesy. It's a great addition to your snack recipes or even a light meal when served with a salad or soup.
