Punjabi traditional food: Chole Bhatura

Ingredients

2 cups all purpose flour/maida, 1 tsp sugar, 2 tsp rava/semolina, salt to taste, pinch of baking soda, oil for deep frying

For the Chole

2 cup chick peas/chole, 1 cup onion (chopped), 1 and 1/2 cups tomato (chopped), 1 tbsp green chilli minced, 1/2 tbsp ginger minced, 2 tbsp garlic minced, 2 tbsp
ginger garlic paste, 1 tea bag, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp chilli powder, 1/2 tsp chana masala powder, 1/2 tbsp chaat masala, salt to taste

For the seasoning

4 tbsp oil, 3 pieces cinnamon 1 inch, 3-4 cloves, 3 cardamom, 1tsp cumin seeds, 3/4 tsp kala jeera/black cumin seeds, 1/2 tsp saunf

For garnishing

coriander leaves (finely chopped), fried onions or fresh onions, butter or cream
