Make delicious Matara Kulchas easily at home
Kulchas
Ingredients
2 cups all purpose flour/maida, 1/2
tsp baking powder, 1/4 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp sugar, salt, 2 tbsp thick curd,
oil or ghee, 2 tbsp warm milk, 1/2 cup warm water ( to knead the dough)
How to make
Take a bowl, combine maida, baking powder,
baking soda, sugar, salt, thick curd and warm milk and knead soft dough using
enough water until it is smooth and elastic. Cover the dough with a wet muslin
cloth and keep it aside for approx. 15 to 20 minutes. Press the dough lightly
to remove the air. Divide the dough into 6-7 equal portions and roll out each
portion. Take a non-stick pan and cook kulchas using a little oil until both
sides are golden brown. The kulchas should puff up like phulkas. Serve
immediately.
How to serve
Now serve the cooked kulchas with
hot spicy matar.
