Dev Patel becomes 3rd Indian actor to be nominated at the Oscars

Academy Awards are handed out in 24 categories, most of them with five nominees. This year, the Academy tried something slightly different with its announcement. Instead of a formal presentation, the nominees were announced via a variety of short videos featuring previous nominees and winners.
