In the above picture, a man named Kia dressed as a maid cleans up a table as his colleagues serve customers at 'Hibari-tei' cafe in Tokyo's Akihabara district. While maid cafes are a dime a dozen in Akihabara, the cross-dressing submissive fantasy is unusual enough to grab eyeballs and footfalls. The owner of the cafe says the trend began when one of the waitresses quit and a male employee filled in for her.
