Redmi soon to launch branded Smart TVs

Redmi is now working to bring its first-ever smart TV. Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing is asking consumers whether the company should launch a smart TV or not. On Wednesday Lu Weibing took to the Chinese microblogging site - Weibo - to congratulated Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun after the company became the No. 1 TV brand in H1 2019. Soon after that Weibing asked his followers on Weibo, "Do you want Redmi to make a TV?".

This clearly means Redmi is aiming to hit the smart TV segment very soon. As of now there no details about Redmi smart TV or when it will be launched or how much will it cost or whether it will come to India or not.

We believe the Redmi TV whenever it is launched will definitely head to the Indian market. Why? Because Redmi has a very strong user base in the country and that will help Redmi strengthen its TV business. As noted earlier there are no words on when the Redmi smart TV will be launched. It is likely the TV is already in the works and in that case we can expect the Redmi TV to launch either later this year or early next year.
