Recipe: Chilli dhahi bhindi fry
In summer it is important to add curd to your food. Curd contains a lot of vitamins which is good for the body.
Lady Finger/Okra(Bhindi) - 1/2 kg, Curd - 1 cup, Oil - 2tbsp, Dry Chilli - 2 nos, Onion - 1 (chopped), Mustard Seeds - 1tsp, Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp, Pepper Powder - 1/2 tsp, Tomato - 1/2 (chopped), Salt To taste.
How to make
You first need to wash and wipe the okra dry. Store in a cool place for 5 minutes before chopping the veggie. Now chop the okra and leave aside. In a pan, add a little oil. When the oil is hot drop in the dry red chilli. Fry the chilli well over a low flame. Now add in the mustard seeds and the chopped onion. Wait for the onion to turn golden brown in colour and then add in the pepper and the turmeric powder.
Fry the ingredients well over a medium flame. Now add in the chopped tomato to the pan and fry until you see the oil at the sides of the pan. When this is done add in the chopped okra. Give it a good stir and add the salt to taste. Make sure you lower the flame and allow it to cook well with a lid over it. Remove the lid after the time period. Now add in the curd and allow it to boil for about 2 minutes over a low flame. Allow it to dry down and then switch the flame off. Your chilli dhahi bhindi dry is now ready to eat. Do not add water to this dish.
