Domestic violence case filed against Sanjeeda Shaikh and her family

This was soon followed by a petition from Sanjeeda's lawyers seeking to quash Zakerabanu's FIR, which counter-alleged that Zakerabanu had a disturbed relationship with her father due to his orthodox attitude, which adversely affected her equation with her husband, Anas, and made it difficult for her to adjust in the more liberal environment of her marital home. It further stated that on the day of the alleged incident, Zakerabanu informed Anas that she was not well and that she had quit the makeup institute that she was training early to leave for her parents' house. Sanjeeda had been shooting for her daily soap at the time of the alleged incident.
